Night-Before French Toast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (10 oz.) long thin loaf French or Italian bread with seeds, cut into 1-inch thick slices
    8 large eggs
    3 c. milk
    4 tsp. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, cut into small pieces
Preparation
    Grease a 13 x
    9-inch
    pan
    with butter.
    Arrange bread slices in one layer in pan.
    In
    a
    large bowl, beat eggs with milk, sugar, salt and vanilla.
    Pour over bread in pan.
    Cover with foil and refrigerate 4 to 36 hours.
