Aunt Cate'S Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 to 2 c. blueberries, dredged in flour
    1/2 tsp. mace or cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening.
    Add eggs, vanilla and spice; beat together.
    Add dry ingredients alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture (by hand).
    Fold in blueberries.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
