Lori'S Firecracker Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    2 medium chopped onions
    1 bay leaf
    1 stalk celery, chopped
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes, cut up
    2 or 3 pickles jalapeno peppers (1/4 c. chopped)
    water as needed
    15 1/2 oz. can red kidney beans (optional)
    1 lb. cubed round steak
    1 medium green pepper, seeded and chopped
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. chili pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    In large kettle, brown cubed round steak in oil with 1 medium chopped onion, 1 clove minced garlic, cumin and 1 teaspoon chili powder.
    Add 2 cups water.
    Bring to boil, reduce heat and cook down until liquid is almost gone.
    Set aside.
