Annie'S German Endive Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 potatoes
    6 strips bacon, crisply fried and crumbled
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    2 c. shredded endive (crisp)
    3 Tbsp. milk or water
    1/4 onion, finely chopped
    1/4 c. mayonnaise or sour cream
    dash of nutmeg
Preparation
    Cook potatoes whole.
    Drain and cool.
    Peel, cut up in small cubes.
    Add bacon and bacon drippings, salt, sugar, onions, pepper and 1 cup endive.
    Combine mayonnaise or sour cream, vinegar and milk or water.
    Gently stir in potato mixture.
    Just before serving, add second cup endive.
