Strawberry Delight - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 qt. strawberries, cut into small pieces and refrigerated
2 sticks margarine, melted
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped nuts
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
3 c. powdered sugar
1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip
1 small box strawberry jello
4 slightly rounded Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. boiling water
8 oz. Cool Whip (optional)

Preparation

Mix margarine, flour and nuts together; pour into a square pan.
Bake until golden brown and let cool.
Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar and Cool Whip together; spread over cooled crust. Dip strawberries out of juice and place on cream cheese mixture until covered.
