Greek Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 large onions, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    4 c. water
    16 oz. tomato sauce
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
    2 garlic cloves, minced
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    beef base: 1 c. broth or 3 bouillon cubes
Preparation
    In a Dutch oven, cook the beef; drain off fat and remove.
    Add the onions.
    Cook until translucent and remove.
    Add pepper. Cook until tender.
    Return onions and ground beef to the pot.
    Add all remaining ingredients.
    Stir.
    Bring to a boil and lower heat to a simmer; simmer for 20 minutes to cook potatoes.
    Serve hot.
