Cheese Filled Manicotti - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    1/4 lb. pork sausage
    2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
    2 Tbsp. oregano
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 large clove minced garlic
    1 1/2 c. Ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
    1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
    2 Tbsp. parsley
    1 slightly beaten egg
    2 c. water
    6 to 8 manicotti
    2 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown meats; drain fats.
    Add water, tomato paste, onion, mushrooms, oregano, 1 1/2 tablepoons salt, sugar and garlic. Simmer, uncovered, 30 minutes.
    Stir occasionally.
    Combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley and 1/2 tablespoon salt. Cook manicotti in water until tender, about 20 minutes.
    Drain. Rinse in cold water; drain.
