Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    24 medium cucumbers
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. salt
    2 tsp. turmeric
    3 c. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
    6 medium onions
Preparation
    Slice onions and boil with vinegar for 3 minutes.
    Add sliced cucumbers and spices.
    Cook slowly for 15 to 20 minutes.
    (Spices should be placed in bag and tied.)
    Ready to can in hot jars.
