Spanish Hominy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can whole tomatoes, drained and chopped
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can hominy, drained
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute onion and green pepper in bacon drippings in a large skillet until tender. Add tomatoes; cook over medium heat 15 minutes. Add remaining ingredients; cook an additional 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
