Hard Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. oleo
7 1/2 c. powdered sugar
5 Tbsp. boiling water
5 eggs, separated
2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream oleo with powdered sugar.
Add boiling water slowly to beaten egg yolks and continue beating until light and lemon colored.
Add to creamed mixture.
Fold in egg whites, beat stiff but not dry.
Add vanilla and lemon extract.
Yields 1 1/2 quarts or 50 servings.
Wonderful over Bread Pudding.
