Chess Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. butter or margarine
2 c. sugar
4 egg yolks
2 Tbsp. cornmeal
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add beaten egg yolks, cornmeal and salt.
Mix in milk.
Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake until set.
Serve it plain or with a meringue made with the four egg whites.
