Black Walnut Dover Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1 lb. flour (3 c.)
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 lb. flour (4 c.)
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. chopped black walnuts
    additional flavoring (if necessary)
Preparation
    Cream eggs, sugar and butter.
    Add baking soda and cream of tartar to flour.
    Add flour mixture, beginning with flour, adding milk and ending with flour.
    Add black walnuts.
    Coat walnuts with part of the flour.
    Pour in a well greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
