Yams Hawaiian Style - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans (1 lb. 2 oz. each) yams or sweet potatoes, drained
    1 can (8 1/2 oz.) crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1/4 c. granulated sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans
    1/4 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Slice yams into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
    Combine pineapple, butter, sugar and cinnamon in 2-quart casserole.
    Place in microwave oven and cook 4 minutes; stir.
    Sprinkle top with pecans and brown sugar.
    Continue cooking 2 to 4 minutes until topping has melted.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
