Thick Cheese Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
    1 c. milk
    salt to taste
    cayenne pepper to taste
Preparation
    Melt the butter in a small enameled iron saucepan or a double boiler.
    Add the flour and blend well.
    Add cheese and beat until smooth.
    Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly.
    Cook until the sauce is thick and perfectly smooth, approximately 4 minutes.
    Add salt and cayenne pepper.
