Chili Beef And Biscuit Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper
    16 oz. can tomato sauce
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. garlic salt
    2 cans Pillsbury Hungry Jack biscuits
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Brown beef with onions and green peppers (salt to taste).
    Drain fat.
    Add sauce and seasonings. Simmer 10 minutes or more.
    Separate biscuits.
    Pull each apart into 2 layers.
    Press 1 layer over bottom of 9 x 13-inch ungreased pan.
    Spoon on meat mixture.
    Spread second layer of biscuit halves on top.
    Sprinkle with cheese.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.
