Grandma'S Pound Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. sugar
2 c. butter
4 c. flour
10 hen eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Beat the yolks and whites of the eggs separately.
Cream the butter; cream the sugar into it.
Add the egg yolks; mix well. Add the stiff egg whites alternately with the flour.
Put into the oven when you can still bear to put your hand on the bottom of the oven.
Gradually increase the oven heat to moderate (350\u00b0) and bake for 2 hours.
