Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

1 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 (No. 303) can creamed corn
2 to 3 jalapeno peppers, chopped
1 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
3 eggs
2 Tbsp. grated onion
1 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Preparation
