Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. mashed, cooked sweet potatoes
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. butter
    1 c. milk
    1 (9-inch) unbaked pastry shell
Preparation
    Combine sweet potatoes, sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, eggs and vanilla.
    Melt butter in milk.
    Pour into potato mixture, stirring.
    Beat gently with beater until well blended and smooth.
    Turn into pastry-lined pie pan with edges of pastry fluted.
    Bake in very hot oven (450\u00b0) for 10 minutes.
    Reduce heat to 350\u00b0 and bake 45 minutes or until silver knife comes out clean.
