Ingredients

beets (cooked or canned)
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. vinegar
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Mix sugar and cornstarch.
Add vinegar and water and boil 5 minutes.
Add beets, cover pan and let stand 1/2 hour.
Just before serving, place back on heat and bring to boil.
Remove and add butter.
