Cabbage Favorite - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground chuck
    1 onion
    salt
    pepper
    3/4 head cabbage, chopped
    V-8 juice
Preparation
    Brown ground chuck and onion.
    Drain well.
    Layer in Dutch oven ground chuck and onion, cabbage, salt and pepper.
    Repeat layers until all ingredients are used.
    Pour just enough V-8 juice over mixture to reach top of layers.
    Cover.
    Simmer for 30 minutes or until cabbage is tender.
