Italian Meat Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 lb. lean ground beef
2 cloves minced garlic
2 cans (4 c.) tomatoes
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 can or 2/3 c. fresh mushrooms
1/4 c. parsley
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. thyme (optional)
1 bay leaf
1 c. water
1 lb. spaghetti
Parmesan cheese, shredded
Preparation

In large skillet, add meat and garlic; brown lightly.
Add remaining ingredients.
Simmer, uncovered, 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until sauce has thickened; stir occasionally.
Remove bay leaf. Serve over hot spaghetti.
Pass Parmesan cheese.
Makes 6 servings.
