Breakfast Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices extra thin white bread, buttered (Pepperidge Farm)
    1 lb. sausage meat
    1/2 lb. grated sharp Cheddar or Swiss cheese
    4 eggs
    3 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Brown and drain sausage.
    Place 6 slices of bread in a 9 x 13-inch greased baking pan.
    Add half the sausage and cheese. Repeat with remaining bread, sausage and cheese.
    Combine eggs, milk and salt.
    Pour into pan.
    Press into bread until evenly saturated. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Excellent for large crowd.
    Can be prepared a day ahead.
