Microwave Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1/3 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/3 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. molasses
    1/4 c. hot water
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
    Blend at low speed. Then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
    Spread into greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
    Shield corners.
    Microwave at 50% for 6 minutes, rotating 1/4 turn every 3 minutes.
    Remove foil.
    Increase power to High.
    Microwave 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, or until done.
    Cool. Serve with whipped topping.
