Lemon Cheese Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    4 eggs, separated
    1/2 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. water
    1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 egg yolks
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    1/2 c. coconut
    2 c. sugar
    juice of 2 lemons
    2 medium grated apples
Preparation
    Batter:
    Cream the butter and sugar well.
    Add 2 egg yolks, beating well after each (other 2 yolks are used in the filling). Add flour and milk alternately, mixing well.
    Add vanilla and soda water.
    Beat egg whites; fold in last.
    Bake in three 9-inch cake pans for 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
