Black-Eyed Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. pkg. black-eyed peas
1 stalk celery, diced
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
1 large onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, diced
salt pork (size of your choice)
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Partially cook the salt pork covered with water.
Drain if water is salty.
Add more hot water. Set aside. Soak peas for about 10 minutes.
Heat until boiling; turn off heat.
Combine salt pork, peas and seasonings. Add celery, onion and garlic. Cook until tender.
