Country Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small head cabbage
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
1 c. cream
1 Tbsp. butter
1/4 c. vinegar
paprika
Preparation

Cut cabbage on fine cutter.
Put in frypan with butter and salt.
Cook on low.
Toss lightly with fork until salt begins to draw water from cabbage.
Cover; stir occasionally to keep from sticking.
Cook until cabbage is tender, about 20 minutes.
Be careful not to let cabbage brown.
(The secret of success is to steam the cabbage until tender, but keep it white.)
Beat egg; add cream and vinegar.
Stir lightly; pour over cabbage.
Let come to a boil and serve at once with paprika sprinkled on top.
