Cucumber Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. cucumbers
    2 red and 2 green peppers
    2 lb. onions
    1/2 c. pickling salt
    5 1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. turmeric
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    4 c. vinegar (save 1/2 c. cold)
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Add drained vegetables and thicken with 1/2 cup cornstarch, mixed with the 1/2 cup of vinegar.
    Simmer for a few minutes; put in hot sterilized jars and seal.
