Raisin Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. boiling water
    1 c. raisins
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. oil
    2 tsp. rum extract
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over raisins.
    Let stand 5 minutes.
    Stir in baking soda.
    Sift flour with salt.
    Beat eggs with sugar, then beat in oil and rum extract.
    Stir in flour mixture, alternately with raisin mixture.
    Fold in nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured 8-inch Bundt pan or 10-inch tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour. Cool in pan 15 minutes, then remove from pan and cool on cake rack.
    Serve warm, topped with ice cream.
    Makes 20 servings.
