Pennsylvania Dutch Salad Dressing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. water
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 to 6 slices bacon, crisply fried
Preparation
    Whip egg in saucepan.
    Add vinegar, water, sugar and cornstarch.
    Bring to rolling boil until it thickens.
    Fry bacon until crisp; drain on paper towel.
    Crumble bacon.
    Add warm salad dressing and crumble bacon to lettuce, endive or other desired greens and toss.
