Hard Candies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. food coloring
1 1/2 tsp. oil flavoring
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup and water in saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, without stirring, to 300\u00b0 (hard crack stage).
Cool slightly.
Blend in coloring and flavoring.
Pour into greased pan.
While candy is still hot, crease with knife.
Repeat creasing after candy has been allowed to cool a few minutes to a half hour.
Turn pan upside down over board and tap slightly. Break candy carefully along creases.
Yields 1 1/4 pounds.
