Lord Baltimore Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    7 egg yolks
    3 1/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. flavorings
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar on high speed.
    Beat egg yolks into this mixture one at a time.
    Put baking soda into the milk.
    Beat flour alternating with milk and add the rest of the flavorings. Put in layer pans and bake about 25 minutes or put in 13 x 9-inch pan and bake about 40 to 45 minutes.
