Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    14 oz. pkg. Kraft caramels
    1/2 c. (small can) evaporated milk
    3/4 c. butter
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Prepare cake mix according to package. Pour 1/2 of batter in a Pam-sprayed 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake only 15 minutes.
    In a double boiler or microwave, melt caramels with milk and butter.
    Pour this over baked portion of cake.
    Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips over caramel mixture.
    Pour remaining cake batter over nut and chip layer.
    Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
    Do not use smaller pan.
