Hank Snow'S Favorite Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. water
2/3 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O mixture
2 c. or more fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1 baked pie crust

Preparation

Simmer water, sugar and cornstarch until it thickens.
Remove from heat.
Add Jell-O mixture and stir until dissolved.
Layer strawberry slices in bottom of crust.
Pour pie filling over strawberries and refrigerate.
Serve chilled with whipped cream topping.
