Mississippi Mud Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 c. cocoa
    3 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts, chopped
    1/2 (10 oz.) pkg. small marshmallows
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add eggs and beat by hand.
    Sift flour and cocoa; add to the creamed mixture.
    Mix well.
    Add vanilla and nuts.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 12-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Remove from oven for 10 minutes.
    Cool; ice with chocolate fudge icing.
    Add nuts to icing.
    Can be frozen.
