Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    small beets
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    2 c. strong vinegar
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Select small, young beets.
    Cook until tender.
    Dip into cold water.
    Peel off skins.
    Mix ingredients.
    Cook until sugar dissolves.
    Pour over beets and boil 10 minutes.
    Pack into sterilized jars and seal.
