Spicy Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    4 c. cubed, peeled potatoes, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
    1 onion, chopped
    3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
    4 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 to 1 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    carrots, cut up
    celery, cut up
    garlic
Preparation
    In large kettle, brown ground beef and drain.
    Add potatoes, onion, tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes.
    Stir in water, salt, pepper and hot pepper sauce.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat; simmer for 1 hour, or until the potatoes are tender and the soup has thickened.
    Yields 2 quarts.
