Angel Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 pkg. yeast
2 1/2 Tbsp. warm water
5 c. plain flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. Crisco
2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Dissolve yeast in water.
Sift flour.
Add dry ingredients to flour.
Cut in shortening.
Stir in yeast mixture and buttermilk. Mix until moistened.
May be rolled out and cut into biscuits. Place in greased baking pan.
Allow to rise about an hour before baking.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 18 minutes.
(Dough may be stored in plastic in refrigerator for several days.)
