N. C. Coastal Seafood Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 stick butter or margarine
    1 lb. shrimp, shelled and deveined
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 ribs celery, chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 can drained mushrooms
    1 Tbsp. garlic salt
    1 tsp. Tabasco sauce
    1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    1 pt. crab meat
    3/4 c. cooked rice
    grated sharp Cheddar
    cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Melt the cream cheese and 1 stick butter or margarine using a double boiler or microwave.
    Saute shrimp, onion, pepper and celery in 2 tablespoons butter. Add to the first mixture.
    Add soup, mushrooms, seasonings, crab meat and rice.
    Mix well and place in a 2-quart casserole.
    Top with mixture of cheese and cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes until bubbly. Cool slightly and serve.
