Turtle Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box German chocolate cake mix
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. unwrapped caramels
    1/2 c. evaporated milk
    1/2 c. melted butter
    2 c. nuts
    1 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Prepare cake mix according to box directions. Pour 1/2 of batter into greased 9 x 13-inch pan; bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes. While baking, melt caramels with milk and butter over low heat; stir constantly.
    Pour over cake (baked half).
    Sprinkle 1 cup nuts and chocolate chips over caramel.
    Pour remaining cake batter over filling; sprinkle 1 cup nuts on top.
    Bake another 25 minutes.
    Check with toothpick.
