Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. soft shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    2 1/2 sq. chocolate, melted
    2 1/8 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. buttermilk or sweet milk
    1 sq. chocolate, melted
    1/2 stick butter
    1 Tbsp. white syrup
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Grease and flour two 9-inch layer pans or a 13 x 9-inch oblong pan.
    Cream until fluffy the shortening and sugar.
    Beat in eggs; blend in chocolate.
    Sift together flour, soda and salt.
    Stir in alternately with buttermilk.
