Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1/3 c. butter
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 unbaked pie shell
    1 1/4 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine sugar, corn syrup and butter in medium saucepan.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and butter melts.
    Let cool slightly.
    Add eggs, vanilla extract and salt to mixture.
    Stir well.
    Pour filling into pastry shell and top with pecan halves.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes.
    Yield: One 9-inch pie.
