Frances' Fruitcake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1 lb. brown sugar
8 eggs
3 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 lb. pecan halves
2 lb. white raisins
1/2 lb. candied whole cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple, cut in chunks
2 oz. lemon extract
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar well.
Add eggs, one at a time, mixing.
Sift about 1 cup of the flour over fruits and nuts, tossing to coat well.
To remaining flour, add baking powder. Stir into creamed mixture.
Stir in lemon extract, then add fruit-nut mixture.
Grease, then line with brown paper, a deep tube pan and a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Lightly grease the paper. Spread batter into the 2 pans.
