Mary'S Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. bran (not bran cereal)
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. dark molasses
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1 large egg (at room temperature)
Preparation
    Lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray the insides of muffin tins (1 1/2-inches deep) to accomodate about 15 muffins. Thoroughly blend together the bran, flour, baking soda, salt, sugar and raisins in a bowl.
    Whisk the buttermilk, molasses, oil and egg in a bowl.
    Pour over dry ingredients and mix until well blended.
