Chicken And Noodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 whole chicken-about 4 lbs.
    a couple of onions, quartered
    some carrots
    celery
    bay leaf
    Raemes Frozen Noodles
    salt and pepper to taste
    chopped onion
    chopped celery
Preparation
    Put chicken in stock pot.
    Place quartered onions, carrots, celery and bay leaf on top.
    Cover chicken with water.
    Bring to boil and simmer for 45 minutes to an hour.
    Remove chicken from pot.
    Let cool.
    Strain broth from vegetables. take meat from bone. Set aside. put broth back into stock pot.
    Bring to boil. place noodles in broth.
    Boil for 20 minutes.
    Add chopped onion and celery during last 5 minutes.
    Place chicken back into broth.
    Heat through.
    If it needs to be thickened, add some cornstarch mixed with water.
    Serve over mashed potatoes.
    This is a family favorite.
