Margaret'S Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    1 1/2 c. hot water
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. vinegar
    2 c. diced apples
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. nuts, chopped (walnuts, pecans, etc.)
Preparation
    Cook all ingredients except apples, nuts and raisins over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Chill overnight.
    Pour over diced apples, nuts and raisins.
    Mix well.
