Sweet Potato Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. sweet potatoes
    1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine (softened)
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs (beaten)
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. ground cloves
    pinch salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. milk
    1 9-inch pie shell (unbaked)
Preparation
    Wash potatoes and place them in a pot, covered with water. Bring to a boil. When the potatoes are soft (after about 45 minutes), drain cool and peel. Using fork or potato masher, mash the potatoes in a large bowl along with the margarine and sugar, combining well. Add the eggs. Stir in the spices, vanilla and milk. Pour into the pie shell. Bake in a 375\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until the center is firm.
