Baked Chicken Dinner In One Pan - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 broilers (approximately 2 lb. each), cut lengthwise
    3 young carrots, peeled and cut in circles (1/8-inch)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. half and half cream
    6 medium potatoes, peeled and cut in quarters
    3 small onions, peeled and cut in quarters
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1/4 lb. butter
Preparation
    Place the vegetables in a roasting pan which has a tight fitting cover and will be large enough to accommodate all of the chicken, too.
    Place the chicken halves over the vegetables. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; pour all the cream over the chicken. Dot with squares of butter.
    Cover tightly and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until you can pierce the thickest part of the chicken with sharp fork.
    Uncover and place under the broiler for 5 minutes or until the chicken is a golden brown.
    Serve piping hot.
    Serves 4.
