Skillet Potatoes Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. cream or milk
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. cheese, cut up
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Place first 5 ingredients in skillet and cover, bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and cook 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Mix cream or milk, butter and cheese with potatoes.
    Cook, uncovered, on low heat for 10 minutes.
    Top with bacon bits.
