Poppy Seed Coffee Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. poppy seed
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. almond extract
1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs, separated
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
dash of salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Combine and set aside poppy seed and buttermilk.
Add almond extract.
Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg yolk and beat.
Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Add alternately with buttermilk mixture.
Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour half of the batter into a greased tube or Bundt pan. Sprinkle half of the sugar and cinnamon on batter.
Add remaining batter and cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Cut through the batter with a knife for a marble effect.
Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
