Apple Bars For A Crowd - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour, sifted
    4 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    2 egg yolks
    cold water
    5 lb. tart apples, sliced and peeled
    4 tsp. lemon juice
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    For pastry, combine first four ingredients.
    Cut in shortening.
    Place egg yolks in measuring cup and stir in enough cold water to make a scant 1 cup.
    Sprinkle over dough.
    Roll out half to line a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
    Place half the apples on pan, spreading evenly.
